كل ما تحتاجة عن مترو دبي في هذا الكتاب الذي هو أطول شبكة مترو في العالم بدون سائق، هو شبكة مترو آلي بدون سائق تم افتتاحه يوم 9 سبتمبر 2009 ويهدف المشروع إلى تخفيف حدة الازدحام المروري، وتخفيض الوقت المستغرق أثناء التنقل بالمواصلات. ويشكل بنائه نموذجاً جديداً متميزاً في فن العمارة. يهدف إلى التخفيف من التلوث الناتج عن وسائل المواصلات الاعتيادية، قيمته 15.5 مليار درهم. ويشكل حلقة ربط رئيسية تربطها مع مطار دبي الدولي. بلغ عدد رحلات ركاب مترو دبي تم إعداد تصاميم المترو من اتحاد شركات يابانية من بينها شركة ميتسوبيشي للصناعات الثقيلة، ومؤسسة ميتسوبيشي، ومؤسسة أوباياشي، وكيجيما كوربوريشن، والشركة التركية يابي ماركيزي. وتم تسليمهم المشروع في يوليو من عام 2005. مجموعه 166 كيلو مترا (83 ميل) من الخطوط، و77 محطة (منها 9 محطات تحت الأرض) خطين تحت الإنشاء، واثنين آخرين في مرحلة التخطيط.
