يعتبر كتاب «البلاد السعيدة» للرحالة برترام توماس (المترجم للعربية) من الكتب التي تتحدث عن تفاصيل رحلته التي بدأت من صلالة في جنوب عمان، وانتهاء بالدوحة في قطر.. حيث وصف فيها أدق التفاصيل عن الربع الخالي وعادات البدو وأيام الرحلة وحوادثها. ويقع الكتاب في حوالي (406) صفحة من القطع المتوسط. ويستعرض الكتاب في طياته المحتويات التالية : مقدمة المؤلف، الفصل الأول : بداية تبشر بالخير ومراجعة مبكرة للرحلة، الفصل الثاني : ظفار والكرم العربي، الفصل الثالث : رقصة الشيطان وعملية فحص الجماجم وغيرها من موضوعات الكتاب.
