هذا الكتاب دراسة عن سياسة الاعتقال الإداري وكيفية استخدامها من جانب الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أداة للقمع والتعذيب ضد الأسرى الفلسطينيين وأُسرهم، وذلك ضمن السياق الاستعماري في فلسطين، ويخوض الكتاب السياق التاريخي لاستخدام سياسة الاعتقال الإداري منذ بداية الاحتلال، وأثره في الأسرى وعائلاتهم، والدور الشكلي لمحاكم الاعتقال الإداري، كما يناقش أشكال مواجهة الفلسطينيين لهذا الاعتقال على مدار السنين، من خلال الإضرابات الفردية وخطوات مقاطعة المحاكم العسكرية، ويتطرق إلى الإشكاليات المتعلقة بمقاطعة محاكم الاحتلال، ويحاجج بأهمية اتخاذ موقف موحد وشامل إزاء هذه المقاطعة، باعتبار أن الجهاز القضائي مرتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بالسلطة الاستعمارية وتغولها المستمر.
