هذا الكتاب (السير وسير الملوك) لعبد الملك بن قريب الأصمعي، وهو من الكتب المهمة في تاريخ الأمم الماضية قبل میلاد النبي-صلى الله عليه وسلم-، حيث تناول فترة بداية خلق البشرية، مرورا بخلق حواء، وأول فتنة حدثت في الأرض من قتل ابن آدم لأخيه، والحديث عن الأنبياء، إلى مولد بهرام جور، الذي ولد سنة 406 م، وتوفي سنة 438 م وكذلك مقتل یزدجرد بن بهرام جور سنة 438 م، وهما من ملوك فارس، وهذه التواريخ كلها قبل میلاد النبي-صلى الله عليه وسلم-بقرن ونصف من الزمان-تقريبا-حيث ولد النبي-صلى الله عليه وسلم-سنة 571 م.
