يتناول هذا الكتاب دراسة حركة الشباب المجاهدين الصومالية. وهي تعتبر من الحركات التي أثارت حولها جدلا واسعا منذ اعلانها عن نشأتها وحتى الآن، حيث توجد في بلد عربي عانى ولا زال في معاناته هذه منذ الحرب الأهلية مع سقوط نظام الرئيس سياد بري عام 1991. وساهمت الاختلافات العشائرية بها في إذكاء هذه الحرب التي أدت إلى مقتل وتشريد مئات الآلاف من الصوماليين.
