Overview
يتناول الكتاب سيرة حياة ساطع بن محمد هلال الحصري (أبو خلدون) (5 آب 1879-24 كانون الأول 1968)، وهو مفكر وكاتب سوري من حلب كان أحد رموز القومية العربية في العصر الحديث. أسس وزارة المعارف السورية عام 1919 ووضع المناهج التربوية في سورية والعراق، كما شارك في تأسيس كلية الحقوق في جامعة بغداد وكان مستشارا لدى جامعة الدول العربية، وتناول نشأته، حيث ولد ساطع الحصري باليمن عام 1879، عندما كان والده يعمل رئيسا لمحكمة الاستئناف في صنعاء. تنقل مع أبيه في سنوات الطفولة، بين صنعاء وطرابلس الغرب وقونيا وأنقرة، حيث درس في المدارس العثمانية الحكومية والتحق بعدها بالمعهد الملكي في اسطنبول، ليتخرج منه عام 1900.
