يأتي كتاب \"الإبداع\" لإلقاء ضوء على بعض الجوانب المهمة في دراسة الإبداع وتحفيزه وهو محاولة تحمل دعوة صريحة لمفكرينا وعلمائنا كي يتصدوا لهذا الموضوع الحيوي الذي يحمل معه مقومات نموه مع زيادة تعقيد المشكلات التي يواجهها الإنسان في هذا العصر وإذا كانت الدعوة التي أطلقها جيلفورد Guliford قبل حوالي خمسة عقود قد جعلت موضوع الإبداع يأخذ مكانة متقدمة في قائمة أولويات البحث والتطوير والدراسة لدى علماء النفس ومن ثم لدى الدول المتقدمة ومؤسساتها المختلفة فإننا أحوج ما نكون في هذه المرحلة لمثل تلك الدعوة ولا ضير في كوننا متأخرين خمسين سنة على الأقل.
