يتناول كتاب (القلاع في البحرين) والذي قام بتأليفه عبد الله محمد السليطي من القطع المتوسط موضوع (القلاع)، الكتاب يتناول فيه خمسة عشر قلعة قديمة في البحرين، وأشهرهم مثل قلعة البقيشي أو قلعة صدد، والزلاق وهورة عنقا والعمر، وبرج جرذي أو برج قلالي الذي بناه الشيخ سالم بن درويش بن عجمي المناعي، شيخ قبيلة المنانعة، كما يزخر الكتاب بالصور والخرائط القديمة، بالإضافة إلى الصور الحديثة مع تحديد مواقع القلاع ووصف حالتها حتى الوقت الحالي.
