يطلق المهندس محمد عمران الشامسي، أول مؤلفاته «محطات .. رحلة المهنة والحياة»، في حفل توقيع يقام بجناح «مسار للطباعة والنشر» التابعة لمؤسسة دبي للإعلام في معرض الشارقة الدولي للكتاب، الذي يضيء على أبرز محطات تطور قطاع الاتصالات في الدولة، وعن أهمية الكتاب يقول المهندس محمد عمران : الكتاب يتطرق إلى ما شهده قطاع الاتصالات في الدولة من تطور، وأيضا تطور الهواتف المتحركة، والألياف البصرية «فايبر»، وغيرها، ولذلك جاء الكتاب أشبه بعملية رصد لهذه الرحلة التي بدأت من 1977 إلى أن تقاعدت في 2012.
