ها نحن نقدم للقارئ في هذا الكتاب نتائج أعمالنا فيما يخص الفترة الأولى، فترة قرطاج التي تتسم بعمق مواضيعها بما أنها واصلت عملية التفلسف التي بدأت فيها أثينا، فاهتمت بالمسائل التي اهتمت بها السفسطائية الثانية حتى ولو أن بعض مؤرخي الفلسفة قد اعتبروا أنها فترة انحطاط الفلسفة وتراجعها وهي مسائل اجتماعية وقانونية وجهت الفكر نحو تطوير الخطابة والبلاغة في فترة أولى ونحو مسائل عقدية تهتم بالخلق وبالشأن الديني في فترة ثانية عندما بدأت المسيحية تنتشر في قرطاج. والسؤال المطروح هل نستطيع أن نتحدث عن فلسفة في تونس إذا علمنا أن الفترة الأولى، فترة قرطاج، كانت تهيمن عليها اللاهوتيات المسيحية بينما هيمنت في فترة القيروان الصبغة الدينية الإسلامية.
