جاء تقسيم الكتاب بمقدمة وأربعة فصول، استرجع المؤلف العذاري في الفصل الأول ذاكرته المحملة بأسماء كبيرة لرموز وشخصيات وأعلام، عاصر بعضها وكان قريبا جدا منها، ووثق لبعضها ماحفظته ذاكرة الناس لهم ومادونته المصادر عنهم، وكان لجميعهم حضور خالد في الذاكرة العامة. وما الصفات التي تتقدم أسمائهم في هذا الكتاب إلا دليل واضح عن ماتحضى به كل شخصية في المجتمع الحلي وتنوع الفصل الثاني بذاكرته من خلال مقالات تاريخية ذاكراتية عن جوانب من مدينة الحلة، ومن عنواناتها نستدل على قيمة المقالات المدونة ومنها : جسر الهنود في الحلة. وتنوع الفصل الثاني بذاكرته من خلال مقالات تاريخية ذاكراتية عن جوانب من مدينة الحلة، ومن عنواناتها نستدل على قيمة المقالات المدونة. في الفصل الرابع من كتابه (قبسات من الذاكرة) بمختارات شعرية من نظمه.
