يتكون الكتاب من عشرة فصول وملحق به قرص مدمج (CD (يحتوي دليلا مختصرا لاستخدام SPSS وتطبيقاته في موضوعات هذا الكتاب. يعالج الفصل الأول التوزيعات التكرارية وأشكالها وطرق عرض البيانات الإحصائية بالرسومات وبطريقة الساق والورقة. ويتناول الفصل الثاني كلا من مقاييس النزعة المركزية والتشتت والشكل. واثر التحويلات الخطية على هذه المقاييس. أما موضوع الاحتمالات فقد تمت مناقشته في الفصل الثالث حيث تم التعرض لمفهوم الاحتمال وقوانينه والاحتمال المشروط واستقلال الحوادث ونظرية بيز. وتناول الرابع فتعرض لموضوع المتغيرات العشوائية والتوزيعات الاحتمالية المنفصلة وتوزيعات المعاينة لكل من الوسط والتباين والنسبة والفرق بين وسطين والفرق بين نسبتين والنسبة بين تباينين.
