نشر الأستاذ محمد كرد علي جزأين من مذكراته ضمنهما ترجمة حياته، وهي حياة طويلة حافلة ؛ فقد عاش الأستاذ في أوساط مختلفة، ورحل رحلات كثيرة في الشرق والغرب، وأنغمس في السياسة وأكتوى بنارها وأشتغل بالصحافة مدة طويلة، والصحافة من أكبر المدارس في معرفة الحياة وألوانها، وصادق كثيرا من رجال الأدب والسياسة والعلم والمال والأعمال، وخبرهم وأطال عشرتهم، فقد ذكر في مذكراته أنه في عشر الثمانين، وتقلب في مناصب كبيرة حتى كان وزيرا أكثر من خمس سنوات، فالمذكرات مظلة الإفادة والإمتاع.
