يعد الفنان والناقد ناصر عراق من أكثر أبناء جيله ولعا بالصحافة إيمانا بها وبدورها التنويري وبقدرتها على خلق ذهنية عربية تستطيع الإسهام في الحيوية الثقافية العالمية. فاز أخيرا بالجائزة الأولى في مسابقة «جائزة أحمد بهاء الدين» عن بحث شائق بعنوان : تاريخ الرسم الصحفي في مصر». ويعد هذا البحث الأول من نوعه فلم يسبقه إلى هذا الموضوع أحد. اختار «ناصر» بحس الصحفي الذي يتعقب الحقائق المثيرة أينما وجدت وبوعي المؤرخ الوطني مساحة زمنية مفعمة بالأحداث الجسام. وقد أتاحت له تلك الأحداث مادة ثرية نسج من خيوطها صورة باهرة لنضال الشعب المصري من أجل الحرية ومن أجل تألق مواهب مبدعيه في آن واحد.
