سافرت فرانسواز كيستمان عبر الجغرافيات المضطهدة باحثة عن المعرفة، ثم أخذتها المعرفة إلى ميادين الموت من أجل المبدأ، إذ كانت من المهتمين بالطب القديم، فبدأت ببيروت ثم التحقت بمخيم الرشيدية في جنوب لبنان سنوات الثمانينات من القرن العشرين، فكان هذا الحدث الذي سهل انصهار فرنسواز في القضية الفلسطينية كفدائية وكممرضة، كان حسها الثوري نابعا من وجدانها الإنساني المؤمن بواجب تضميد آلام وجراح الآخرين ما دام في مقدورنا ذلك. هذه المرأة، الأم لطفلين، العاشقة لزوجها رغم افتراقهما، الملتزمة حتى الموت بمعركة ستؤمن لها حسب تعبيرها \"أجمل ميتة\"، هذه الممرضة التي تحولت إلى مناضلة كتبت بدمها ملحمة إنسانية لا تنسى.
