إن نصف مؤلفات النابلسي التي يزيد عددها على 300 عنوان هي جواب على مراسلة ما، ولن نتعرض هنا إلا للمراسلات التي جمعها الشيخ عبد الغني النابلسي في مجلد واحد توجد منه عدة نسخ مخطوطة في العالم. ذکر بروکلمان في تاريخه للأدب العربي أغلب هذه النسخ . وهو بعنوان وسائل التحقيق ورسائل التوفيق. وينطوي هذا الكتاب على مراسلات، دامت حوالی النصف قرن، بدأها في أواخر سنة 1085 هـ / 1675 م وأنهاها سنة 1140 هـ / 1728 م. (وقد عثرنا على رسالتين خارج هذا المجموع كتبهما سنة وفاته 1143/1731). أما الأشخاص الذين راسلوه فكلهم عاشوا وماتوا داخل حدود الإمبراطورية العثمانية، وهم ينتمون إلى فئات مختلفة من شعوب الإمبراطورية، بينهم المسلم المتوسط، وفيهم القضاة والصوفية وشیخ الإسلام والوزير الأعظم.
