يتناول هذا الكتاب \"قصر الحكم القديم\" حيث يمثل حقبة هامة في تاريخ دولة قطر نظرا للدور الذي كانت تلعبه هذه المنطقة المحاذية لأحد طرفي الخليج العربي الذي كان همزة الوصل بين سكان ضفتيه على أرض بلاد فارس والجزيرة العربية، وهذا القصر الذي تم بناؤه قبل حوالي مائة سنة كان يشغله المغفور له الشيخ عبد الله بن جاسم آل ثاني أمير الدوحة في ذلك الوقت، ويمثل هذا البناء الجميل المطل على الخليج مرحلة بارزة وحساسة من تاريخ دولة قطر وجيرانها، واليوم تحول هذا القصر إلى نواة لمتحف وطني لدولة قطر.
