هذا الكتاب يتناول فيه الطالب مجموعة من التجارب من المتوقع أن تمكنه من بدء اكتساب بعض المهارات العملية للتعامل مع المواد الكيميائية وبعض أدواتها وأجهزتها البسيطة، لأن التعامل مع هذه المواد يتطلب الكثير من الحذر والوعي والذي لايمكن أن يمتلكه الطالب إلا بالتحضير الجيد قبل الحضور إلى المخبر وفهم المبدأ الذي تقوم عليه والغرض من إجرائها، وأن يتقيد بالتبيهات الواردة في الكتاب تحت عنوان إرشادات عامة للتجارب المخبرية، ويدون نتائجه وملاحظاته في دفتر خاص، ولا يتردد بسؤال الأستاذ المشرف عن أي استفسار أو توضيح لعمله المخبري، ولا يجري أي تجربة إضافية إلا بعد استشارة الأستاذ المشرف وتحت إشرافه مباشرة.
