\"شجرة الرمان\" هو عنوان آخر رواية قصيرة كتبتها في (قادرلي) قبل أن آتي إلى إسطنبول، وكنت قد أضعتها، ولكنهم عثروا عليها في صندوق أمي وقد جلبها لي ابن عمي عام 1966. وكنت قد كتبت عليها تاريخ يوم الأربعاء 31-1-1951 وكانت آخر خمس صفحات منها قد اقتطعت ولكنها كانت في ذهني وأعدت كتابتها. ومن الممكن القول أنه لا يوجد فرق بينها وبين القديمة وأنشرنا كما هي تقريبا بدون تغيير، ولو كتبت الآن رواية \"شجرة الرمان\" لكتبتها بشكل وأسلوب آخر، ولكنها كانت ستفتقد إلى البساطة والنضارة التي كانت عليها. في عام 1949 - 1950 جاء التراكتور إلى منطقة تشوكوروفا وفقد أغلب العمال الموسميين القادمين من المناطق الجبلية أشغالهم. حاولت في رواية \"شجرة الرمان\" أن أشرح العلاقة بين مجيء التراكتور وتفاقم البطالة. هذه الرواية هي من أهم أعمالي التي استعرضت فيها الروابط بين الإنسان والطبيعة.
