عنوان هذا الكتاب شيء عن البحرين وهو مستوحى من مادته التاريخية فمواد الكتاب في مجملها تعكس شيئا من واقع الخليج العربي عموما وبلاد البحرين خصوصا خلال الفترة 1931-1925 م، وسيجد القارئ في ثنايا الكتاب لمحات نادرة وإشارات غير عابرة تساعد الباحثين في سد بعض الثغرات أو تحليل بعض الحوادث أو الاستدلال على بعض الأحوال أو فتح آفاق لأبحاث ودراسات مفيدة فهو أشبه ما يكون بسجل تاريخي لحظي يتضمن أخبار ومواقف عن بعض المور الجارية في الخليج في أواخر عشرينات وأوائل ثلاثينيات القرن العشرين الميلادي : ربما يحتاج هذا السجل مزيدا من التحقيق والتدقيق ولكنه يظل مصدرا خصبا لا ينبغي للباحث أن يتجاوزه لانه شاهد زمان كتب مادته شهود عيان على الأحوال السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية في تلك الفترة.
