ما الذي قد نفهمه من اصطلاح الفنون الجديدة؟ وهل ما اتفق عليه منذ الثلث الأخير من القرن المنصرم بالفن المعاصر، لا يزال بإمكانه أن يلخص أشكال الفنون الطارئة اليوم في عصر مجتمع الشبكات الذي ينهض على قوة الليف البصري Optique fibre في مقابل الليف المنطقي Fibre logique ؟ إذا كان الجواب بالسلب فهل يعني ذلك أن مرحلة الفن المعاصر التي لم تصل إلى عالمنا العربي إلا في العقد الأخير قد أقفلت تطورها وأننا مع الفنون الجديدة صرنا اليوم فيما فوق الفن المعاصر؟.
