رواية \" نجم الدين صانع العطور\" تعد من الروايات التاريخية فهي تدور حول بطل الرواية نجم الدين الذي كان يحيا بالمدينة المنورة، وقرر أن يجوب البلدان خلال الحرب العالمية الأولى، ليمر بأحداث ومشاهد في تلك البلاد. «رحلة نجم الدين» تسترجع فيها الكاتبة ذكريات الطفولة والصبا حتي وقوعه على فراش المرض يسترجع. نجم الدين صانع العطور، شخصية، يرمز لحياة الإنسان بكل تفاصيله ومراحل حياته من براءة الطفولة إلى طيش الصبا ثم مرحلة النضج، تبدأ قصته من حيث تنتهي قصة أي إنسان آخر؛ على فراش الموت، وهو ابن التسعين من عمره.
