كيف يبني ريتسوس العشق في القصيدة ؟ هكذا : ببساطة إنه ينساب من بيننا.. ونحن نقرأ أشعاره يضع ريتسوس بحسه العميق نصب أعيننا صورا مؤطرة، تقدح في مخيلتنا أفكارا ومشاعر جديدة، او ربما ذكريات سبق أن مرت بنا، ولكن دون أن تستوقفنا لنراها على حقيقتها الساطعة. يجد القارئ المتذوق ذو المخيلة أن كلمات قصائده تعيش مصادقة التلاقي والالتحام فليس هناك فوارز ولا نقاط تفصلها عن بعضها فهي تمثل جسد النص كاملا. إنها مثل أطر ملونة في داخلها صور حية متحركة. لذا لا يمكن ترجمة مفرداتها منفصلة ولا حتى قراءتها بتلك الطريقة، لأان هذا قد يفقدها محتواها ويقتل روحها المتألقة. لإنها لعبة فهم النص باتجاهين مختلفين ولكن يبقى الحب واحدا لا يتغير.
