يشمل هذا الكتاب مجموعة من المقالات حول آراء ومناقشات لقضايا فكرية وثقافية وأدبية عشاها وعاصرها المؤلف، كما اشتملت انطباعات حول مواقع وبلدان زارها الكاتب، وكانت هذه المقالات بدافع ذاتي ومن منطلق المصلحة العامة، وأن قضية الثقافة العربية الإسلامية في الجزائر اليوم تقف في مفترق الطرق، فأمام غياب القرار السياسي والتخلي الصريح عن المواثيق والجهل بالتطور التاريخي للقضية والهجمة التي تشن على هذه الثقافة باسم الديمقراطية، ولكن الصحوة الإسلامية عموما والمدرسة الأساسية التي ثبتت اللغة العربية في ألسنة الأطفال ووجود الشباب في الساحة ممتلئا حماسة ووعيا وإيمان بهذه القضية.
