تعد التعديلات الدستورية لعام (2011) نقطة انطلاق للإصلاح العام والشامل في المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية في المجالات كافة، حيث مست بدورها حقوق الأردنيين وواجباتهم، هذا بالإضافة إلى شمولها الأحكام العامة للسلطات من ناحية، والأحكام الخاصة المتعلقة بكل سلطة من السلطات العامة للمملكة من ناحية أخرى، كما وقد شهد هذا التعديل تطورا نوعيا في تاريخ البلاد بالنص على إنشاء محكمة دستورية يعد نقطة تحول في النظام القانوني للملكة الأردنية الهاشمية من خلال الانتقال من مرحلة إلى مرحلة أخرى في مجال الرقابة على دستورية القوانين من جهة وإعطاء سلطة تفسير الدستور إلى جهة قضائية دستورية متخصصة من جهة أخرى وذلك كله من خلال إنشاء قضاء دستوري متخصص تمثل بالمحكمة الدستورية.
