\"البحيرة\" هي رواية يابانية للكاتب الشهير ياسوناري كاواباتا كتبها العام 1954. نقلها إلى العربية سامي قباوة. تأخذنا هذه الرواية إلى عوالم اليابان المدهشة من خلال بطلها \"جيمبي\"، وتحكي قصة جيمبي موموي الشاب الضائع في متاهات الواقع الذي يعيشه بعد الدمار الذي تعرضت له اليابان بعد الحرب العالمية الثانية. «جيمبي» المصاب بمرض في قدميه يحمله على ملاحقة الفتيات الجميلات، لكنه في كل مرة يصاب بخيبة الأمل. يطرد من وظيفته كمدرس للغة اليابانية بعد أن يقع في غرام إحدى طالباته وهي \"هيساكو\". تسلك الرواية المنحى الروائي الحزين، لتغدو بمثابة مرثية تروي جوانب من السيرة الذاتية المليئة بصور الحرمان والوحدة والحسرة والقلق والألم لياسوناري.
