شهدت الرواية مؤخرا تطورا مذهلا، على مستويات عدة، واحتلت مركز الصدارة في النتاج الأدبي، وتعد الكاتبة الجزائرية أحلام مستغانمي من الروائيين الذين كان لأعمالهم صدى واسع، حيث نجحت في استثمار الطاقة اللغوية لتوليد نصوص روائية ذات صبغة شعرية. وتسعى هذه الدراسة إلى استكشاف آلية التوظيف اللغوي الذي يحقق الجمالية الشعرية، والوقوف على أبرز مظاهر تجلي اللغة الشعرية في السرد النثري، ممثلا في رواياتها الثلاث : ذاكرة الجسد، وفوضى الحواس، وعابر سرير مع الأخذ بعين الاعتبار تماهي الحدود للمنجز الشعري في مجمل الإبداع الأدبي، دون إغفال لخصوصية النوع المميز للأعمال على أنها رواية.
