لا زال الزمن صفر تبديل أماكن واختلاف أزمنة وما خفي اليوم أعظم وها هي الأحداث في يوميات العنقرجي تأخذنا إلى فضاءات الوجع العراقي في فترات مظلمة من زمن النظام البائد حيث يبتدئها الكاتب بـ \"كم رخيصة تلك الأيام التي كان ثمن الإنسان فيها لا يتعدى ثمن علبة سجائر مغشوشة كم رخيصة تلك الأيام التي كان فيها الخبز يخبز من علف الحيوانات كم قبيحة تلك الأيام التي كان فيها المعلم يتقاض ما يعادل دولارين على طول الشهر\" وهو يذكر في طياتها أحداث واقعية حدثت في سجن أبي غريب وينتهي بها بعرض أجزاء مهمة من حقائق لحياة امرأة عانت ما عانته نتيجة ما حدث لولدها حيث يؤكد قائلا في النهايات \"سيدتي أيتها المرأة العظيمة أيتها الشيبة الحليمة حكايتك لم تنل مساحة كافية هنا ولست أدري ربما لم يكن لي قدرة كافية لسرد الألم الذي رافقك كشيلتك المتغيرة اللون من فرط جلوسك تحت حرارة وقساوة الشمس أم هو هروب من حزن قد يحملني إلى أيام أريد البكاء عليها أكثر مما نزفت.
