تحتوي ملحمة جلجامش على الكثير من الأمور التي بحاجة إلى دراسة متخصصة، لما فيها من عمق واتساع فضاء، وقد حاول مؤلف الكتاب توضيح بعضها، والتوقف عند بعضها الآخر بما أملاه عليه معرفته وفهمه للنص، وهناك محطات لم يتوقف عندها مثل أحلام جلجامش وانكيدو أكثر من خمسة أحلام، والعلاقة بين خمبابا والتنين التوراتي (الوياتا)، وعلاقة عشتار بعشاقها باستثناء تمو، والوقوف عند صراع جلجامش وأنكيدو، وقد استخدم بعض الأسماء التي استخدمت في الترجمات حسب النص، مثل جلجامش وجلجميش وقلقامش، وأورك وأرك و أوروك، وخمبابا وهمبابا وهواوا، وأوتنا بشتم وأوتنبشتم وأوتانفشتم، وسيدوري وسابيتم صاحبة الحانة، وأور شنابي وسرسنابو.
