يتناول الكتاب \"مذكرات السلطان عبد الحميد\" وهو كتاب يمثل وجهة نظر السلطان عبد الحميد في الأحداث التي كان هو محورها، وموقفه من المؤامرات الصليبية والماسونية التي عزلته وقضت على الخلافة الإسلامية، في المقدمة نقرأ تعريفا بالسلطان عبد الحميد الثاني ودراسة لفكره الإسلامي وشواهد تظهر نقاءه وموقفه الحصين من المدينة الغربية، وموقفه المعادي لليهود، يقول السلطان \"لماذا نترك القدس ؟ إنها ارضنا في كل وقت وفي كل زمان وستبقى كذلك فهي من مدننا المقدسة\"، بعد ذلك تأتي المذكرات، وهي مجموعة خواطر وذكريات بدأ السلطان إملاءها في أول مارس (آذار) عام 1333 هـ (1917م) وفرغ منها في 18 إبريل (نيسان) من العام نفسه، هذا، وقد ترجم مذكرات السلطان عبد الحميد هذه عن النص الأصلي وكتب مقدمتها وحواشيها وقابلها لمذكرات لكتاب معاصرين الدكتور محمد حرب.
