يجمع هذا الكتاب أبحاثا متفرقة في طرائق تأويلها، إلا أن الوجهة التي تقصدها، والغاية التي توخاها تكاد تلتقي عند نقطة إرساء أولى موجهة تحديدا لمحاولة الإمساك بأطراف المعنى. وقد توزعت هذه الأبحاث على ثلاثة فصول : قصد الفصل الأول : مراوغات الاعتذار، وخطاب التهكم، واهتم الفصل الثاني برواية الرحلة، والزمن السردي، وهو جنس سردي ما زال يتشكل. أما الفصل الثالث فعني بشعرية السرد، وظاهرة التمرد الشعري.
