يروي المؤلف في هذا الكتاب كيف لمس أعمال الخيانة التي تحاك ضد العراق والعروبة كافة، مما أدى إلى مجابهة علنية بينه وبين فوزي القاوقجي، وجند فيها الأخير جمعا من مؤيديه. وتبع تلك المجابهة مجابهة أخرى للخيانة على أرض المعركة، مما أدى إلى لجوء الوالد إلى مفتي فلسطين الأكبر -حينذاك- الحاج أمين الحسيني ؛ حيث اكتشف ما اكتشف ! ! لجأ -بعد فشل الثورة- إلى إيران، ومن ثم إلى ألمانيا، حيث قضى سنوات الحرب العالمية الثانية. وبنهاية الحرب تم القبض عليه وإلقاؤه في المعتقلات مع مجرمي الحرب الألمان، ثم قضت محكمة عسكرية إنكليزية بالحكم عليه بالمدة التي حجز فيها وجردته من حقوقه المدنية مدى الحياة. وبتنفيذ الحكم حيثما تواجد النفوذ الإنكليزي. وعاد لسورية في عام ليعاني من آثار تطبيق الحكم الجائر ضده.
