يطرح الكتاب المسألة اليهودية عبر تاريخها الطويل منذ بدايتها وحتى العصر الحالي، وارتباطها الوثيق بالنص التوراتي، الذي أصبح من المتفق عليه أنه ليس هو نفس النص الذي تركه موسى عليه السلام، فقد طاله كثير من التحريف وحفل بالأساطير والمسائل غير المنطقية، ورغم ذلك يتمسك اليهود بهذا النص المحرف، مما جعلهم متمسكين بفكرة أنهم \"شعب الله المختار\"، فانعزل هذا الشعب عن جميع الشعوب، شاهرا سيف العداء لكل من ليس يهوديا. أيضا يعرض الكتاب لأهم قضيتين في المسألة اليهودية، وهما \"الوعد\" و \"الاختيار\"، مع طرح كثير من النصوص والتساؤلات التي تدين اليهود بشكل قاطع من خلال نصوص توراتهم وأسفارهم.
