لا شك أن العبادة الصحيحة التي تنشد التقرب إلى الله تعالى والسعادة بمعرفته هي التي تنبني على مبادئ العلم النافع المثمر، وقد عني العلماء الأفاضل بالحديث عن العبادات وأسرارها وأحكامها، فألفوا وجمعوا في ذلك تراثا خالدا، واختلفت مناهجهم في ذلك فمنهم من أطال وتوسع في أبحاثه، ومنهم من اختصر وأوجز، وهذا الكتاب مؤلف لطيف مهم في الفقه على مذهب الإمام الشافعي رحمه الله تعالى في غاية الاختصار ونهاية الإيجاز، هدفه تقريب تعليمه على المتعلم وتسهيل حفظه على المبتدئ، وذلك لما فيه من العبادة السهلة والمعاني الواضحة والتقسيمات المفهومة، إضافة إلى بيان الأحكام الأساسية من شرط وفرض وواجب ومستحب، كتاب يتداوله الكبير والصغير وذلك لصغر حجمه وعظيم فائدته.
