أهمية هذا الكتاب «جنوح الأحداث في دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة، تتبع عن عدة أمور: أولها أنه يتناول قطاعا عريضا من قطاعات المجتمع وهو قطاع الأحداث الذي يشكل نسبة كبيرة من السكان لها دورها الفعال حاضرا ومستقبلا. وثانيها : أن جنوح الأحداث في العالم أجمع، وليس في دولة الامارات العربية المتحدة وحدها، يشكل ظاهرة خطيرة متعاظمة، طبقا لما تورده الاحصاءات والبحوث المتتالية. ولذلك فإن الظاهرة تمثل تهديدا متناميا لأمن المجتمع واستقراره وخططه التنموية، وبنائه الأسري بصفة خاصة. وثالثها : أن هذه الظاهرة الاجتماعية المرضية تفرض علينا وضع الامكانات المختطفة المتاحة -على الصعيد الحكومي والشعبي- لوضع العلاج والحلول الصحيحة، حتى لا تتفاقم العلة، ويستشري الداء وتضار الثروة البشرية التي تعتبر أثمن ما نملك ولن تضع أيدينا على العلاج أو الحلول إلا بعد التشخيص السليم.
