هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا يتناول موقف الأدباء الإنجليز من اليهود منذ القرن الثامن عشر وحتى القرن العشرين ويتضح لنا من دراسات الدكتور رميسيس عوض أن عددا كبيرا من الكتاب العالميين يحملون لليهود البغضاء والكراهية ولكن هذا الموقف تغير إلى حد ما مع مجئ القرن الثامن عشر وظهر نوع من العطف على اليهود في القرن التاسع عشر وخاصة في كتابات الأدباء الرومانسيين والكتاب فريد في نوعه ويملأ فراغا في المكتبة العربية التي تفتقد إلى مثل هذا النوع من الأبحاث والدراسات.
