ينقسم هذا الكتاب إلي ثلاثة أبواب في الباب الأول تم الحديث عن تنظيم الضابطة العدلية بدءا بموظفي الضابطة العدلية ومرورا القطاعات التي تمارس ميدانيا عمل الضابطة العدلية في لبنان وانتهاء باختصاصات الضابط العدلية أما في الباب الثاني فعرض لمهام الضابطة العدلية قبل مباشرة التحقيق القضائي وهنا تم التطرق للدور الذي نقوم به الضابطة في سير العدالة الجزائية عن طريق استعراض المهان التلقائية التي تقوم بها ومن ثم عرض في الباب الثالث لمهام الضابطة العدلية بعد مباشرة التحقيق القضائي فتحدث عن الاستنابات القضائية، والأحتجاز لرهن التحقيق والتعاون الدولي في حقل الضابطة العدلية.
