ينقسم الكاتب إلي ثلاثة أقسام وثلاثة عشر فصلا ويبدأها بالقسم الأول الذي يتضمن ظروف وأحداث قيام الحركة التقدمية بالمغرب الإتحاد الوطني للقوات الشعبية بقيادة الشهيد المهدي بنبركة 1959 في عرض للمذكرات السياسية ولأنتفاضة 25 يناير ولتأسيس الحركة والإتحاد في القسم الثاني ينتقل الكاتب للحديث عن مرحلة الحكم الفردي المطلق بالمغرب وقمع المقاومين ومؤامرة تصفية الاتحاد الوطني في ذكريات وأحداث وتحاليل ويخصص القسم الثالث لتشريح بنية السلطة في المغرب على عهد الحماية الفرنسية كما الحكومات المتعاقبة في بداية الاستقلال.
