يجري هذا البحث على تفعيل آليات التأويل وحدوده ومستوياته في الخطاب الشعري المعاصر وعلى هذا ينبغي للبحث أن ما اكتنزه لنا الموروث الثقافي العربي والغربي معا بين الشعر والتأويل. فأما الشعر فنموذجه هنا شعر فدوى طوقان، وديوانها سبعة أجزاء في كتاب واحد وسيأتي الحديث عنها بإسهاب في الفصل الأول، وأما التأويل فهو شكل من الفهم والاستيعاب. وتفترض الدراسة ارتباط الحدود بالأفقية إجمالا وتفصيلا وحرية وارتباط المستويات بالعمودية والعمق، ويجري تعيين فتنزل من المعنى الأول إلى المعاني التي تتشكل مع طبقات النص.
