يتناول الكتاب حيث يلخص قصة نجاح، ويتناول سيرة رئيس جمعية الإصلاح الشيخ عيسى بن محمد وأهم محطاته العلمية والعملية خلال مسيرة أكثر من نصف قرن من الزمان. ويقع الكتاب في 268 صفحة، ويحوي أكثر من 200 صورة ووثيقة تاريخية وتم تقسيم الكتاب على ثمانية فصول، والكتاب من إعداد هشام عبدالوهاب الشيخ، يتناول الكتاب «البيت العود» الصور على نشأته في جزيرة المحرق وأثر الحياة السائدة آنذاك في تكوينه الثقافي والاجتماعي، ويتناول ايضا «في حلوان بين الإخوان» مرحلة دراسته الثانوية ثم الجامعية بكلية الحقوق، وتأثير الأحداث الكبرى التي جرت في مصر في تشكيل وعيه الفكري والسياسي، وخصوصا بعد تعرفه على دعوة الإخوان المسلمين واعتناق مبادئها.
