رواية \"جريمة في بيت الطالبات\" هي إحدى روايات الكاتبة الرائعة \"أجاثا كريستي\" وتدور حول بيت من بيوت الطالبات، جرت فيه حوادث سرقات غريبة، ولم يكن داء السرقة من تلك الجرائم التي تثير اهتمام \"هيركيول\"، ولكن عند مطالعته قائمة المسروقات الغريبة ووجدها : سماعة طبيب، بعض البنطلونات القديمة المصنوعة من القماش الرقيق الناعم، علبة شوكولاتة، قطع بسكويت طويلة، خاتم من الألماس في صحن شربة ... عندئذ هنأ \"هيركيول\" حارسة عنبر السجن السيدة \"هبارد\" على مثل هذه الجريمة العجيبة والفريدة من نوعها، تأمل \"هيركيول\" جريمة السرقة التي وقعت في أحد بيوت الطالبات وتساءل متعجبا إذا كانت هي مجرد حادثة سرقة صغيرة لا خوف منها، فلماذا تشعر كل طالبة بالهلع الشديد ؟ !
