في سياق العلاقة بين الفعل الديني والفعل السياسي يتساءل عبد السلام ياسين : هل جماعة العدل والإحسان حزب سياسي أم تناوم ودروشة وفي محاول للإجابة عن هذا السؤال تأتي هذه الدراسة متوخية إلقاء بعض الضوء على مواقف إحدى الجماعات الإسلامية الأكثر فعالية في المغرب وقد تقيدت المؤلف في دراسته هذه على المستوى المنهجي بثلاثة ضوابط، الأول أن المؤلف ترك أدبيات الجماعة نفسها تتكلم فيورد لنا هنا الكثير من الاستشهادات والاقتباسات، والثاني أن المؤلف أوضح بعض أفكار الجماعة من خلال استحضار توضيحات لها من أدبيات جماعة أخرى مثل الإخوان المسلمين، والثالث أن المؤلف تعامل مع كتابات عبدالسلام ياسين كمشروع فكري سياسي متكامل.
