الحركة التشكيلية السورية واحدة من الحركات التشكيلية العربية النشطة التي في استحضارها الفن بصورته العامة. إنما تقدم الدلالات الحضارية المتنوعة كشاهد على الفعل الإبداعي الإنساني والكيفية التي يتم التعامل من خلالها مع موضوعات الفن واتجاهاته. وقد عكست في منجزها العام ما يتوافق والأفكار التي طرأت على الفنون على مر العصور الفنية والحضارية، التي مرت على سورية منذ العصر القديم. فالمحترف السوري بقى لأسباب كثيرة على ارتباط بالإنسان في مختلف الأحقاب معليا بذلك قيم الشكل الإنساني، ومسقطا معرفته الفنية والتقنية ونظريته الفلسفية على هذا الشكل.
