Overview
لن يكون من همنا أن نبسط المهاد التاريخي للبحث ولا أن نحصى عناوين الكتب ولا أسماء الكتاب، وكذلك لا نعرض \"للاتجاهات\" إلا تفسيرا لتطور البناء الفني، ولا نرى من المفيد أن نواصل البحث في كون الفن القصصي أصيلا في عروبته أو مقتبسا من الغرب، فهذا البحث يبدو لنا نوعا من الدفاع عن الأدب العربي حين يتعلق الأمر بدراسة الآداب القصية عند العرب مبحث يجب أن يتجه إليه دارسو الأدب القديم، كما يتجه إليه دارسو الأدب الحديث، أما الباحث في القصص العربي الحديث فأمام حقيقة تاريخية لا تقبل جدلا وهي أن نماء هذا النوع من الأدب-كما وكيفا-إنما جاء على أثر حركة ترجمة واسعة للقصص الأوربي.
