كتاب جغرافية الوطن العربى تأليف د. عبد الرحمن حميدة، لا يصح إطلاقا أن يستغرق تدريس أي كتاب جغرافي عن الوطن العربي أكثر من خمسة أعوام أو ستة على الأكثر، لأن سرعان ما تصبح معطياته الجغرافية البشرية والاقتصادية أو السياسية والعمرانية باطلة، وبالتالي غير صحيحة ولا صادقة ولا تقدم صورة أمينة عن الواقع العربي الذي يتعرض لتبدلات متسارعة مما يستدعي تحقيقا للتزامن ضم ملحق سنوي في آخر كل كتاب. ويأمل الكاتب ان يجد الطلاب العرب من خلال هذه الدراسة ما يروي تعطشهم للمعرفة من خلال لوحة جغرافية واقعية عن وطنهم الكبير.
