تشن شوكوانغ أستاذ ومشرف على الدكتوراه في مدرسة الماركسية في مدرسة الحزب التابعة للجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي الصيني (المدرسة الوطنية للإدارة). تم اختياره كأول باحث شاب في تشانغجيانغ» من وزارة التعليم، إذ كان يمتلك موهبة ممتازة بين أترابه فانكب على دراسة الأنثروبولوجيا الماركسية والطرق الصينية والخطاب الصيني. في السنوات الأخيرة، ترأس 4 مشاريع رئيسة للصندوق الوطني للعلوم الاجتماعية، ونشر 6 دراسات أكاديمية. شخصية، ونشر أكثر من 180 بحثا في العلوم الاجتماعية الصينية»، «أبحاث الفلسفة»، «أبحاث السياسة»، أبحاث ماركسية»، إضافة إلى أوراق أخرى، أعيد طبعها ونسخها أكثر من 80 مرة؛ وفازت بالجائزة الأولى لإنجازات حكومة المقاطعة في العلوم الاجتماعية، وبجوائز أخرى لمرات عديدة. في 17 مايو 2016، وبصفته ممثلا عن تخصص النظرية الماركسية، تمت دعوته للمشاركة في ندوة عمل الفلسفة والعلوم الاجتماعية التي استضافها الأمين العام (شي جين بينغ)
