يهدف الكتاب إلى توضيح مفهوم التنازع والمبادئ العامة التي يعتمد عليها وكذلك إلى تعريف التنازع وشروطه ونطاقه والتنازع داخل الإقليم وخارجه والقوانين التي يلجأ إليها المتنازعان وهل هي المحلية أم دولية بالإضافة إلى التطور التاريخي لقواعد التنازع والنظريات القديمة والحديثة التي تناولته ثم الأسلوب المعتمد لحل تنازع القوانين والتكييف والإيحاء والإسناد في القانون الأردني والتفريق بين الشخص الأعتباري والشخص الطبيعي ويتناول الكتاب أيضا القواعد العامة في الاختصاص القضائي ومدى حرية الدولة في اختصاصها القضائي والحصانة القضائية والاختصاص القضائي في القانون الأردني كما يتطرق إلى الأحكام الأجنبية وآثارها وتنفيذها داخل الأردن ثم شروط تنفيذ هذه الأحكام.
