تتخذ الرواية من بلدة المهوار فضاء ملائما للكتابة عن بنية النظام السياسي اللبناني ووضعه ضمن إطار سوسيولوجي تاريخي عام، تقدم خلاله الرواية مظاهر الصراع الطائفي، خلال فترة الحرب الأهلية، وتستمر إلى زمن مستقبلي صاعد يتجاوز الزمن الحاضر إلى عام 2029، وهو الزمن الذي تتحقق فيه ثيمة الرواية، كما تخيلها الكاتب وأرادها، وهي أن انتصار الحب على الكراهية ووصول لبنان إلى مستقبل مضيء تتحقق فيه العدالة الاجتماعية والحرية والأمان، إنه الزمن الذي يتم القضاء فيه على الفساد ورموزه ويعيش فيه الإنسان اللبناني ضمن شروط صديقة للبيئة من ماء وكهرباء وزراعة وصناعة.
