يندرج موضوع هذا الكتاب في استمرار انشغال د. عكاشة برحاب بالقضايا العلمية المتصلة بالمغرب الشرقي. ولا أستغرب أن تكون حادثة موقع العرجة على الحدود المغربية الجزائرية (18 مارس 2021) قد عجلت بنفض الغبار عما تراكم لديه من وثائق عن منطقة فجيج، إذ أن رغبة نشرها والتعريف بها كانت موجودة مسبقا، والحدث المذكور إنما حدد موعد ذلك، يتعلق الأمر بوثائق تعالج قضايا منطقة كانت في الماضي ومازالت محط أطماع ومناورات أجنبية.
