في هذا الكتاب يناقش نخبة من المختصين بالآثار والدراسات الإسلامية قضية العلاقات اللغوية والمفاهيمية بين القرآن الكريم واليمن القديم وفي ضوء ذلك يرصدون تأثير عقائد اليمن في بيئة القرآن تلك البيئة التي لم تعد متاحة للمفسرين لاحقا في عصور التدوين وبذلك تعرض هذه الدراسات تفسيرات جديدة لبعض الآيات القرآنية وحوادث السيرة النبوية وفقا لأفكار وممارسات اليمن القديم الأقرب إلى بيئة الإسلام الأول وعلى ضوء من المعتقدات المشتركة بين الشعوب الناطقة باللغات السامية.
